Three things usually end up on a VPS: an accounts or ERP package the team reaches over remote desktop, a website or shop that has outgrown shared hosting, and small in-house tools once written in a hurry. A virtual machine in an EU data centre replaces the box in the office, and you pay monthly for the capacity you genuinely consume.

Right-sizing

Cores, RAM and disk are matched to the real workload. We prefer to begin on a modest plan, because adding resources is usually simple whereas overpaying goes on for years.

Platform choice

Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, OVHcloud or a local Polish facility, depending on price, data residency needs and what the company already runs.

OS and hardening

Linux or Windows Server, sign-in by SSH key or MFA, a host firewall and management ports closed before the first user logs on.

Remote desktop for staff

Comarch ERP Optima, Symfonia or enova365 published through an RDP gateway with MFA, never through port 3389 left open to the whole internet.

Snapshots and backups

Snapshots for rolling back a bad change quickly, plus an independent copy with another EU provider and regular restore tests.

Monitoring and patching

Availability, CPU load, disk headroom and expiring certificates are tracked, and security fixes go in to a regular timetable.

The instance is created under your company's account in the chosen cloud, the OS goes on and access is restricted straight away.

Software is installed, databases and files are moved in an agreed window, and staff connections are configured.

You receive credentials in a password manager, a short description of the setup and a live demonstration of restoring from backup.

An open RDP port is an invitation to intruders. Bots crawling the internet find a new server with remote desktop exposed within hours and start guessing passwords. Many ransomware incidents begin exactly this way. That is why we only publish desktops through a VPN or a gateway with a second login factor.

Questions and answers

It depends on the software. Shops, websites and most web apps run leaner and cheaper on Linux. Windows accounting and ERP packages, as well as remote desktops for the team, need Windows Server plus access licences, which are normally rented monthly from the cloud vendor.

There are two parts: the cloud subscription, which depends on machine size and licences, and our administration, either within a support plan or at PLN 190/hour excl. VAT. Before anything starts you get both figures worked out for your case.

Yes, and that is a common reason for the move. After signing in through the VPN or MFA gateway she sees the same desktop and program as in the office. Employer obligations around remote work are best checked with HR or a lawyer, and a cloud server makes the technical side easier.

First we check whether the issue is capacity or configuration, since a badly tuned database will swallow any headroom. If resources really are short, we enlarge the plan, split services across two machines or suggest a dedicated server.
