Backup implementation

Before the first job runs we ask two awkward questions: how many hours of work can the company lose, and how long can it stand still? Choosing software without those answers means betting, and you only learn you lost the bet when a machine will not start. We carry out the entire set-up from a distance, through an encrypted connection to your systems.

Included in this service

We set up the copying and the routine that checks it. A backup nobody has ever restored from is a hope, not a safeguard.

Talk the scope through with an engineer

What matters most

We rank your systems, settle the acceptable gap in data and the deadline for being back in business. An accounting practice at year end will answer very differently from a wholesaler running a WMS.

A 3-2-1 design

Your data exists in three places using two different storage technologies, and one location lies beyond both your building and your domain. In practice: the server, a local NAS and object storage in an EU region.

Backup jobs

Hyper-V and VMware virtual machines, SQL Server databases behind Comarch, Symfonia or enova365, file shares, Microsoft 365, plus switch configurations and firewall rules.

Ransomware resistance

A backup console kept out of the domain, dedicated accounts with MFA, and write-once copies whose expiry date no administrator, genuine or fake, can bring forward.

Alerting

A failed job goes to a named person and to our team, rather than a generic admin inbox that has gone unread for ages.

Test schedule

A written routine of spot restores of files or a database and periodic full, timed recoveries of a chosen server, at a pace agreed with you.

How we work together

How long it takes depends on the number of systems and the data volume. We agree the timeline, including the first full backup and the first test, before we start.

01

Inventory

What is copied today, what is missing, where the copies sit and whether anyone has ever tried to recover something.

02

Design

We size the data, fix retention and fit every job into the overnight hours so it completes before staff start work.

03

Configuration

Jobs, repositories, permissions, encryption and alerts, all handled remotely without interrupting your staff.

04

Trial restore

We recover from the backup and time it. That figure is your real recovery time, not a number from a vendor brochure.

How far back you can reach matters more than how often you copy. Criminals frequently lurk undetected inside a company for a month or longer and only then launch the encryption. If you keep seven days of copies and the break-in happened three weeks ago, every one of them already contains the intruder. A sensible minimum is a month of daily copies plus monthly ones going back a year.

Questions and answers

Consistent database dumps, complete VMs, network device settings, domain controller data or an Entra ID export, licence keys, and service passwords held in a secure vault. Settings are the usual blind spot. Files come back fine, yet the knowledge of how the network was built sits with one admin, who is of course on leave that week.

For a sole trader it can be a starting point, for a company it is not. The drive stays plugged in, so ransomware encrypts it along with everything else, and if someone takes it home, the copy depends on them remembering on Friday. An automated NAS plus cloud storage costs little more and does not rely on anyone's memory.

Whatever suits the environment. Veeam or Synology Active Backup work well for virtual machines, specialist cloud services handle Microsoft 365 on its own, and smaller firms can sometimes get by with a well-configured tool built into the NAS. We are not tied to any vendor and we help you choose the licence you genuinely need.

The work is billed at PLN 190/hour excl. VAT or included in an ongoing support plan. We estimate the hours after the inventory, before any work begins. Software licences and cloud storage come on top, and we price both before anything starts.

Someone on your team following our illustrated instructions, or your usual local hardware supplier. You buy the device wherever you prefer and we recommend a specific model and capacity. Once it is on the network, we do the rest over secure remote access.
